The Perfect Luxurious Staycation at The Marriott Hotel Manila

When Michelle Garcia (the Marketing Director of Marriott Manila) asked me to stay with them, saying NO was out of the picture. I was, however, a bit worried about the scheduled dates at first since it was the Holy Week. Fortunately, I had nothing planned yet. I had been to Marriott a couple of times to dine but I never actually had a chance to spend a night or two. When the opportunity presented itself, I said this was the right time.

I was extremely happy with my Staycation at The Marriott Hotel that I almost did not want to leave. Everything I wanted and needed was there.

For all the my readers, I decided to write down Ten (10) reasons why Marriott gives you the Perfect Luxurious Staycation.

1. Impeccable Service. Despite Marriott being a big chain hotel, all the staff never failed to deliver.  I loved everyone's energy. You feel that they are all delighted to have you staying with them. From check-in to check-out, everything was a breeze. When we arrived, one of the staff at the lobby immediately brought me to the Executive Lounge for my check-in.

Ian and Ina (quite easy to remember) were the two accommodating staff assigned at the reception of the Executive lounge. After explaining everything about my 3d/2n stay, I signed up for the Marriott Rewards Program - a practical choice for someone like me who stays in hotels most of the time.

I was booked in one of the Executive Suites of Marriott located on the highest floor (8th). Upon entering our suite, I saw this note on the work desk from no less than the Marketing Director -- Michelle "Mitch" Garcia herself. It was refreshing to see a hand-written message to welcome me.

2) Another reason to stay in Marriott would be because of their Modern and Spacious rooms. We stayed in one of the Executive suites with a living space that would be ideal for condominiums in the city. Of course, the area of our suite is way bigger than the regular rooms but I assure the other rooms are simply fantastic as well.

Cru Steakhouse at the Marriott Manila

Cru Steakhouse always gets me excited to eat. It offers a gastronomic experience that is rarely present in most fine dining restaurants in the city. With its dark and luxurious interiors (actually reminds of the Godfather movies), attentive service and high grade steaks, it easily lives up to reputation as one of the best steakhouses in the city.

Cru is strict with the dress code so please make sure you wear something nice for dinner. No shorts. No slippers.

Kenneth Cobonpue's Eclipse Rickshaw: The Future of Pedicabs

It's Filipino-made. It's green. It's a pedicab. Let me introduce the "Eclipse" Rickshaw by Kenneth Cobonpue.

Earlier today, I was able to drop by the Cobonpue's Showroom at the San Lorenzo Building in Greenbelt Residences (across Greenbelt 2). I instantly saw the future of pedicab and Manila's tourism. I was ecstatic to see this revolutionary work. The Eclipse Rickshaw boasts Iphone Dock Speakers, Cup Holders, Cooling Fans and Panels for Privacy. Pedicabs don't any cooler than that. With the Cobonpue DNA infused into its design, Eclipse will surely make heads turn.  I can't wait to see this on the Streets of Manila (Or Cebu).

In the meantime, I'll be happy to get a few pieces (lamps and chairs) from his collection. They are all extraordinary. Go visit his shop and be inspired! (More pictures soon).
