The Perfect Luxurious Staycation at The Marriott Hotel Manila

When Michelle Garcia (the Marketing Director of Marriott Manila) asked me to stay with them, saying NO was out of the picture. I was, however, a bit worried about the scheduled dates at first since it was the Holy Week. Fortunately, I had nothing planned yet. I had been to Marriott a couple of times to dine but I never actually had a chance to spend a night or two. When the opportunity presented itself, I said this was the right time.

I was extremely happy with my Staycation at The Marriott Hotel that I almost did not want to leave. Everything I wanted and needed was there.

For all the my readers, I decided to write down Ten (10) reasons why Marriott gives you the Perfect Luxurious Staycation.

1. Impeccable Service. Despite Marriott being a big chain hotel, all the staff never failed to deliver.  I loved everyone's energy. You feel that they are all delighted to have you staying with them. From check-in to check-out, everything was a breeze. When we arrived, one of the staff at the lobby immediately brought me to the Executive Lounge for my check-in.

Ian and Ina (quite easy to remember) were the two accommodating staff assigned at the reception of the Executive lounge. After explaining everything about my 3d/2n stay, I signed up for the Marriott Rewards Program - a practical choice for someone like me who stays in hotels most of the time.

I was booked in one of the Executive Suites of Marriott located on the highest floor (8th). Upon entering our suite, I saw this note on the work desk from no less than the Marketing Director -- Michelle "Mitch" Garcia herself. It was refreshing to see a hand-written message to welcome me.

2) Another reason to stay in Marriott would be because of their Modern and Spacious rooms. We stayed in one of the Executive suites with a living space that would be ideal for condominiums in the city. Of course, the area of our suite is way bigger than the regular rooms but I assure the other rooms are simply fantastic as well.

The beautiful bedroom.

I think we spent most of the time sleeping during this staycation. We could not get out of bed.

I was even surprised our suite had a Powder Room. This made me want to invite some family and friends over.

For the Master's bathroom, you have a his and hers sink.

The bathroom has a bathtub and rain shower. In case you are wondering, there's a switch if you want to bring down the blinds for more privacy. Ours was mostly open. Go figure.

The toilet is also separate from the shower area.

What I also loved in our room was the view of the green space, which was the Gold Course. I wish to see more green spaces like this for public use in the future. Our city needs to breathe a little.

3) Buffet at the Marriott Cafe and Cocktails at the Executive Lounge.

With its wide selection of dishes at the Marriott Cafe, any meal of the day will not disappoint.

Take your pick from Oriental to Western Cuisines.

My favorite Salad Bar.

The winners among its offerings were the bottled juice drinks and Fresh Buko Juice. This wouldn't usually be part of the buffet in hotel restaurants. If you want more, you can bring bottled drinks to your room.

For your kidney.

My fill of Danish Cream Cheese Pastries.

If you are staying in one the Executive floors, you have access to the Executive Lounge for late afternoon cocktails.

Pick your poison. I went for the Chardonnay for two consecutive nights.

Their desserts were also excellent. Our favorites were the Carrot Cake and Salted Chocolate.

4) Quan Spa - This urban oasis that is not your ordinary wellness and rejuvenation center. Marriott has one of the best spas in Manila. Read more by Clicking this  Quan Spa. Discover why this is a favorite of mine for spa treatments.

5) Relaxing Pool side with a View. From the pool area, you can see the skyline of Makati and Fort Bonifacio Global City. Must try: The Nachos and Banana Smoothie.

6) Marriott has a well-equipped gym. For the gym rats who cannot live a day without sweating it out,  Marriott's gym facilities are impressive. An hour or two here will surely help you tone those muscles and keep your heart healthy.  Do it.

7) Fine dining at the Cru Steakhouse. This is definitely a favorite of mine. Read more about this on my next blog post.

8) If you are bored, you can always Gamble at the Casino or Catch a Movie at the Newport Cinemas. After all, you are in the Resorts World Complex.

9) The Ninoy Aquino International Airport 3 is right across. Fancy booking a flight to some of our Beautiful Islands, you can easily do that.

10)  Last but not least -- Service. Oh I already wrote about this. I was so impressed that I purposely had to mention it again.

Thank you again Marriott Manila and Michelle Garcia for our wonderful and unforgettable staycation.  I will be back soon.
