The Lanai Lounge at Antonio's Tagaytay

(All Photos from Iphone 5S)

Aside from its excellent food, Antonio's Fine Dining in Tagaytay is also known for its beautiful interiors. Without a doubt, this is one of the most impressive colonial structures in the country. Upon hearing of another expansion, my anticipation came with high expectations for this incredible destination. This team could do no wrong.

Let me introduce Antonio's new Lanai Lounge - a dreamy cocktail garden in the South. You enter through this wrought iron gate that opens up to this beautiful garden. Immediately, your eyes are drawn to this young yet mighty Banyan tree that stands in the middle. A white chandelier hangs freely from it. The inviting daybeds and white chairs would make you want to slow down life a little bit.

For a brief moment, it felt like someone read my mind and decided to build my own house. I am not kidding when I say I want part of my house to look exactly like this.  It was love at first sight.

I could see my favorite color all over the place. They have custom-embroidered throw pillows with the "A" logo (Might as well be Amadeus - my first name) for the cement furniture.

This cocktail garden, which recently opened last April, serves unique designer cocktails that would give you the right kind of buzz before dinner. I tried their version of Mojito. Instead of Mint, they use Tarragon -- another aromatic culinary Herb.

Birthday Lunch at Clement (Peninsula New York)

Picking a restaurant in New York is a tough challenge. When you have thousands of choices for a gastronomic adventure, the mind can be a bit overwhelmed. The fear for most people is ending up with the wrong one, which is not impossible from happening. Like everyone on a precious holiday, you want to get the most out of your buck.

On the morning of my birthday, we had no idea where we were going to have my birthday lunch. Normally, I wouldn't pick a hotel restaurant in Manhattan since they would be overpriced and servings would be small.  Our love for the Peninsula group, however, brought us to the heart of Midtown Manhattan where Peninsula NewYork stood. For our new dining experience in the city, the newly-renovated Clement Restaurant was our top pick. Clement overlooks the vibrant Fifth avenue, making it a beautiful place for a leisure or business lunch

With the temperatures slowly dropping every single day to negative zero, it was a relief to enter Peninsula's hotel lobby. I always looked forward to the "thawing" part after walking around NYC in freezing weather.
